Candy Dragon

Project for "Colour, Paper & 3D Properties"
(all my college classes have really long names )

Long story short, im very bad at thinking in terms of 3D so in the end i decided to pretty much ignore the tutors instructions and do whatever felt comfortable for me.

People were graded into groups, with Group 4 being in big trouble and Group 1 being the best.
I got a bit confused when the tutor read out the list. I think i was put into Group 3, but my friend says she thinks i was listed in Group 2.
Oh well, as long as i didnt fail!

TOOLS
I sketched dragons in my sketchbook and transferred my favourite design to an A2 size sheet.
Painted with Acrylic Paint and inked with a 0.8 liner.
His scales are Smarties (this project made me hungry! Pasta, cupcakes and candy were used by other people in class for their work) and i decorated the blank parts with sequins and glitter.
(You cant see it very well, but the dragons face is painted with a silver glitter paint and his eyes are a bunch of small blue beads. The fur fringe on his head and tail is painted with heavy white acrylic, so it's got texture. )
